Were Humans Genetically Engineered by Aliens?

Cliff High's WebBot - The Shape of Things to Come
Cliff High's WebBot project is one of the most interesting forecasting studies around at the moment. In a nutshell he has developed software that monitors the world's internet babble to identify trends that are then cross-refenced to hard data to develop forecasts in global events. Though by no means 100% accurate, WebBot is right twice as often as dictated by chance, and when it is right it is often spectacularly right.

Ukraine Pneumonic Plague - New Pandemic?
Around 100 people have died in the Ukraine from a mystery pandemic. This highly infectious disease causes severe hemorrhagic pneumonia and has similar symptoms to the 1918 Spanish flu, pneumonic plague, pulmonary anthrax, SARS and avian flu (H5N1). Nine regions of the Urkraine are currently under quarantine, including the closure of schools and universities.

Global Currency in the Wings
As the US dollar - currently the world's standard currency - slowly sinks into the mire of diminishing value, there are calls from many quarters - including the United Nations, Russia and China - to introduce a new global currency independent of any one nation.
Some commentators, including Gerald Celente of Trends Institute, are tipping that massive devaluation and runaway inflation of the US dollar are just around the corner, irrespective of government and media rhetoric proclaiming an emerging economic recovery. If this does happen, it would certainly provide the excuse needed to bring a new world, global currency into being.

Will We Be Carbon Taxed into the Dark Ages?
Just about every single thing us greedy, wasteful Westerners consume uses up heavy energy inputs, generating heavy carbon emissions. If our government leaders sign the Copenhagen Treaty this December, Carbon Taxes plus Cap and Trade costs are heading our way, and it looks like they will!
What to do? Best thing is to learn to live more with less folks. Most of us are horribly wasteful. It looks like a good time to start growing your own food and practicing voluntary frugality. That might not be such a bad thing! Carbon taxes would certainly stop peak oil in its tracks, since most of us wouldn't be able to afford to be heavy oil users any more. I only hope those that are saying it is just an excuse to fund and implement a dictatorial, non-democratic global government to control everything we do are wrong...
